中学生の頃クリス・コナーの歌に魅了され

Jazz Singerを目指し、

16才で横浜本牧の米軍キャンプでデビュー。

その後、都内のナイトクラブ専属で歌っている時、

宮間利之とニューハードにスカウトされ、

フルバンドの専属シンガーとなる。

オープン当時のホテルオータニ「ローズルーム」

六本木「リヴィエラ」等の専属を経てフリーに

Jazz Singerとして各方面に出演。

1977年よりホテルオークラ「スターライト　ラウンジ」　　　　に17年間出演。　

1987年　NHKテレビ "That's Music"

1987年〜1989年　NHKFM "セッション'87〜'89

1990年　ヤエスメッグホールにて

　　　　"園田まゆみファーストコンサート
